We are interested in poems that both embrace and revolutionize traditional forms, e.g., that both pass our scansion and fail it miserably, that are at home on the page and the stage, and that, in the words of Emily Dickinson, “tell it slant.” We want poems that pay particular attention to language and sound, image and impact. Send us poems that sit with us, call our names long after we’ve left them, and knit our hearts sweaters of barbed wire.

Submit up to five poems, totaling no more than 10 pages. Send as a single Word document or PDF to bonfireslit@gmail.com with “Poetry Submission” in the subject line.
